Do Non-Invasive Skin Treatments Last Long?

Sofwave is a non-invasive skin treatment designed for long term results. Unlike injectable neuromodulators or dermal fillers, results from Sofwave treatments appear gradually and naturally over time. 

Some of our clients notice subtle lifting and firmness within a few weeks of a single session, but results are typically optimized around 12 weeks post-treatment. Remember, Sofwave stimulates your body to naturally regenerate its own collagen, and this can take about 12 weeks for you to start seeing sharper, more significant results. 

From this point on, results can last up to 12 months, and sometimes even longer. Longevity of results depends on age, skin characteristics, and lifestyle. For results that are even more longer-lasting than this, we recommend booking in for an annual maintenance appointment.

Who is a Good Candidate?

What to Expect During a Session:

When you book your Sofwave treatment, your appointment will be approximately 30 to 45 minutes, depending on the areas being treated. 

After you settle in and get comfortable, one of our nurses will start the treatment by using the Sofwave machine to target your preferred treatment areas. The treatment is painless, and we will make you feel as comfortable as possible by applying a topical numbing cream before we begin treatment. Then, we’ll apply an ultrasound gel to your face and neck to get started. You’ll feel a gentle, controlled, warm sensation, as the handheld Sofwave machine penetrates the targeted layers of your skin. You will notice that the warming sensation comes on in slow intervals: neutral, warm, then neutral again, and then we move the device onto the next spot.  

Immediately after your session, you may experience slight redness or mild swelling, but most clients return to their regular activities right away. In most cases, clients don’t experience any lingering sensations of warmth, and there is no need to take any special steps for after-care. In fact, you can exercise, return to work, wear make-up, continue with your regular skincare routine, and do whatever else you had planned!
